Product Introduction

The BBR-1 Bending Beam Rheometer is designed according to current testing standards and SHRP specifications. It is used to evaluate the low-temperature cracking resistance of asphalt binders by measuring the bending creep performance of asphalt binder specimens under low-temperature conditions.

The test results include two key parameters: creep stiffness S(t) and creep rate (m-value).

The low-temperature cracking performance is evaluated based on creep stiffness S(t) and creep rate (m-value), which characterize the thermal cracking resistance of asphalt binders under low-temperature conditions.

Product Features

  •  Equipped with an integrated LVDT calibration device, making calibration simple and convenient.
  •  The refrigeration unit is connected to the main unit through flexible hoses and can be installed separately, minimizing the influence of refrigeration system vibration on test results.
  • Air supply pressure, preload pressure, loading pressure, and air bearing pressure are digitally displayed in the software.
  • Equipped with overload protection and fault warning functions. Audible alarm and fault codes are provided for quick identification of system errors.
  • Test duration can be freely set, allowing convenient evaluation of deformation after 240 seconds (default setting: 240 s).
  • Calculation time points can be customized through the software (default settings: 8 s, 15 s, 30 s, 60 s, 120 s, 180 s, and 240 s).
