This instrument is mainly used for evaluating the high-temperature resistance and abrasion resistance of mineral fibers. The mineral fiber sample and 1250g steel balls are placed into the miniature Deval test cylinder, which rotates at a specified speed for a certain period of time. After the test, the fiber sample is collected for further performance evaluation.
The instrument can also be used for Deval abrasion tests of aggregates.
